Effective September 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Baptist Theology: Bible Study collects, uses, and protects information.
1. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy applies to the Baptist Theology: Bible Study application for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices, including beta-testing versions, and its related website, support, and email communications. It explains what information is collected when you use the app, create an account, purchase a subscription, contact us, or join our email list.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address, an account identifier, and the authentication information necessary to register and sign you in. Authentication is provided through Supabase. We do not have access to your password in readable form.
Study Information and Preferences
We may store information needed to provide and synchronize the app’s features, including your selected studies, session progress, completion history, study schedule, and app preferences.
Purchase and Subscription Information
Depending on your platform and subscription availability, subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system or Google Play Billing. Apple or Google processes your payment information. We do not receive or store your complete credit-card or banking information.
Apple, Google, and RevenueCat provide us with limited subscription information, such as the product purchased, transaction identifiers, subscription status, and whether you are entitled to access subscriber content. We use this information to verify purchases, provide and restore subscription access, and understand subscription activity.
Diagnostic Information
We use Sentry to identify crashes and technical errors. Diagnostic reports may include the app version and build, device model, operating-system version, error details, stack traces, and technical environment labels.
Sentry is configured not to intentionally collect account information, Bible-study content, screenshots, view hierarchies, request content, or detailed navigation breadcrumbs. IP-address storage and geographic enrichment are disabled in Sentry.
Operational Logs and Approximate Location
When the app connects to our backend, Supabase automatically records operational request logs. These logs may include your IP address, approximate location inferred from that address, request timestamps, and technical request details. Approximate location can include your city, state or region, and country.
We use these logs to monitor service reliability and troubleshoot technical problems. This collection occurs automatically when the app connects to the service, including when you use it without signing in. The app does not currently provide a separate setting to disable this backend logging. Operational logs are retained for limited periods under our service provider’s retention settings.
Communications and Feedback
If you contact us or submit feedback through TestFlight, Google Play testing, or another support channel, we collect the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, message, screenshots, or diagnostic details.
Website and Email List Information
Our website and email list are hosted through Kit. When you visit the website, Kit may process routine browser, device, cookie, IP-address, and usage information needed to host, secure, and evaluate the page. If you voluntarily join the email list, we collect your email address and information about email delivery and engagement. You may unsubscribe using the link included in any marketing email.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information to:
• Create and authenticate accounts.
• Synchronize study progress and preferences.
• Provide free and subscriber-only study content.
• Process, verify, and restore subscription access.
• Schedule the study experience you select.
• Respond to questions, feedback, and support requests.
• Diagnose crashes, correct errors, and improve reliability.
• Protect the app, its users, and our services from misuse.
• Send communications you have requested.
• Meet legal, accounting, and app marketplace obligations.
The app does not display third-party advertising. We do not use app information for cross-app advertising or tracking, and we do not sell personal information.
4. NOTIFICATIONS
Study reminders are scheduled locally on your device. The app does not currently use remote push notifications or maintain a remote push-notification profile for you. You may change or disable notification permission in your device settings.
5. SERVICE PROVIDERS AND SHARING
We share information only when needed to operate the app and related services. Our principal service providers are:
• Supabase, for account authentication, database hosting, synchronization, and operational request logging: https://supabase.com/privacy
• Google, for Google Play distribution, Android beta testing, and in-app purchases: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• RevenueCat, for subscription status and entitlement management: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
• Apple, for App Store distribution, TestFlight, and in-app purchases: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
• Sentry, for privacy-limited crash and error diagnostics: https://sentry.io/privacy/
• Kit, for website hosting and voluntary email-list communications: https://kit.com/privacy
These providers process information according to their applicable terms and privacy commitments. We use service providers under agreements and policies intended to provide protections consistent with this Privacy Policy.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, prevent fraud or security threats, or protect the rights and safety of users and others.
6. DATA RETENTION AND ACCOUNT DELETION
We retain account information and synchronized study data while your account remains active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service. Diagnostic reports, operational logs, support records, transaction records, and security records may be retained for limited periods when needed for troubleshooting, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
You may delete your account using the account-deletion option provided within the app. You may also contact us for assistance. Account deletion removes or de-identifies associated information from active systems, except information that must be retained for legitimate legal, accounting, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Limited copies may remain temporarily in protected backups until those backups are overwritten.
Deleting the app does not delete your account. Deleting your account also does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions purchased through Apple must be managed or cancelled through your Apple subscription settings. Subscriptions purchased through Google Play must be managed or cancelled through your Google Play subscription settings. Apple and Google may retain purchase records under their own policies and legal obligations.
7. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No electronic system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Baptist Theology: Bible Study is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Although the app includes material suitable for family devotions, app accounts and subscriptions are intended to be managed by an adult. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and delete it when required.
9. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may manage certain account information within the app or contact us for assistance.
You may disable study reminders through your device settings. You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the unsubscribe link in each message. Transactional or support communications may still be sent when necessary to provide a service you requested.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may revise this Privacy Policy as the app and its services change. We will update the effective date and publish the revised policy at this location. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by email when appropriate.
